Murari is a 2001 Telugu Romance and Supernatural Thriller film released in cinemas on 17 February 2001. .
Murari (Mahesh Babu) belongs to a big traditional family that loves and respects him deeply. His grandmother, Sabari (Sukumari), follows special rituals because the family has a mysterious past linked to Murari, but he is unaware of it.
Vasundhara (Sonali Bendre) enters Murari’s life when she visits the village. She is lively and independent. Their first meetings are full of cute fights, but soon they fall in love. Their families also start accepting their relationship.
However, a hidden danger surrounds Murari. The family priest warns the elders that something serious may happen. The elders try to protect Murari without revealing the truth.
As Murari and Vasundhara dream of their future, the hidden family secret starts affecting their lives. How Murari deals with destiny and what really happened in the past remains the crux of the story.
